As the ballpark went under construction, the Mets wanted to push taking public transit.

So one game day in May, we challenged Mets fans to find former coach Bobby Valentine on public transit—in his famous 1999 disguise.

For context: After getting ejected from a game for arguing with the ref, Bobby reappeared in the dugout wearing a fake mustache and sunglasses. Fans love him for this.

On Bobby’s travel day, we unleashed the real Bobby V + dozens of decoys, aka “Bobby Doubles”, across public transit in the city.

The Mets promoted the bit across Tiktok, Instagram and Youtube.
